Diablo 4 is getting cross-overs, and the first event is with Berserk

Diablo 4 has officially revealed the first of two cross-over events coming to the game over the course of this year. We’ve known for a while that Blizzard has been working on collaborations with outside IPs, and there’s been plenty of guesses.

Now, Diablo 4’s official social channels have revealed what the first one of those is going to be, and it’s Berserk.

The idea of Diablo 4 crossing over with a different, non-Blizzard brand was recently confirmed in the game’s roadmap, which revealed that the action RPG would be getting two cross-over events in 2025.

The first IP collaboration – with Berserk, no less – is set for the April-June period, which is the period covered by the game’s Season 8: Belial’s Return, which kicks off at the end of April. The details of the event have not yet been revealed, and we only have a brief teaser released overnight to mull over.

A best-case scenario, of course, would be a fully-fledged event that involves some sort of twist on Diablo gameplay, and a separate reward track that will earn players some new cosmetics. It would be incredibly disappointing if all it ends up resulting in are very expensive in-game store bundles.

Considering how similarly managed the Call of Duty and Diablo franchises are, the latter is a lot more likely. But we’ll have to wait and see what Blizzard has been cooking.
